Throw on your chicest sunglasses & brightest lipstick, this is one party you’ll want to get glammed up for! Jessica Zylicz of Twisted Sister’s Catering & Events created this Audrey-Inspired Breakfast at Chandler’s Birthday Party for a fashionable little girl with a larger than life personality! To put a modern twist on the traditional Breakfast at Tiffany’s theme, Jessica added in some classic black & white stripes & pops of bright fuchsia — always good options in my book ;). Keep reading to see why the birthday girl was also the prettiest girl on her special day…

PARTY DETAILS, as told by Jessica…
:

“Happy girls are the prettiest girls” is one of my most favorite quotes from the beautiful Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s and ultimately inspired this fun & modern birthday bash.

My sister, Jennifer Rodriguez, & I recently started an event planning business, Twisted Sister’s Catering & Event Planning, which specializes in Christmas parties for children. So, Twisted Sister’s wanted & needed to showcase that we can make other events just as magical! I knew that the theme had been overdone and I wanted to give it more of a modern twist. I knew that I did not want the typical Tiffany blue color scheme, so I went with black, white, turquoise, & pops of hot pink to add a more youthful vibe.

Planning parties has always been a passion of mine and this party was by far one of my most favorite parties to plan to date! Breakfast at Chandler’s would have to be as divine as my 2 year old daughter Chandler!

I believe that invitations set the mood of the party and knew that they had to be fabulous. I knew that I wanted the invitation to look hand-written and had an ultimate idea of what I wanted it to look like. Stormy McCallon from Hunny Bit Designs was so wonderful to work with — she helped me get my exact vision! I absolutely adore how they turned out. I printed the invitations on metallic paper & lavishly embellished each invitation, which made them even more perfect. The mood was set and the fun began!

So many extra touches made this party perfect! One of my most favorite elements of the party and a guest favorite was the DIY photo shadow box station. Not only was it a fun activity for our guests of all ages, but it doubled as a cool party favor keepsake that your guests actually want to keep. I set up an awesome photo backdrop of Crepe Paper Twirls, had some fun Breakfast at Tiffany’s-inspired photo props & took pictures with my instant camera. This brought back great memories from the older guests and just “wowed” the little ones! Once the picture developed, we added fun washi tape to clear acrylic mini boxes, which were actually Hockey Puck Cases from Amazon. Guests then went down to the glitter & confetti bar and added glitter, sequin, pearls, & confetti to personalize it! Then we added washi tape to the outside of it to seal it up. (Lesson learned, if you don’t do this part all the glitter falls out on your floor which equals a big mess.) The end result was precious and all the add-on’s matched the party perfectly!

The morning was so much fun, filled with laughter and smiles on all of our guests’ faces! We enjoyed a delicious brunch, made bubble gum necklaces, dressed the little girls and boys with pearls & bow ties & topped the morning off with an amazingly talented face painter! I couldn’t have been happier of how it turned out!
