Hello,

I am in the Alpha stage (pre-Beta) of new software to manage Logitech Alert IP Network cameras.

This is a totally new application, from scratch, and unlike any that I have previously encountered The name is "CameraCornet".

A run down on the general expectations of this new and unique software:

1) Android phone or tablet. Android 4.0.4 or newer. WiFi - no need to activate the 3G or 4G if you use a phone. In many parts of the world, an inexpensive prepaid phone can do the job file (even a single-core CPU Android 4.0.4 system should do).

2) Experience with your home network router, port forwarding, etc - if you want remote access.

3) Google Chrome or open source Chromium version 30 or newer. Remote access is done through web browser using WebRTC. You can also use the modern Opera Browser if you wish. This can be on Windows, Linux, Apple OS X, Apple iPhone, Apple iPad, Android tablets, etc - as all of these can run Google Chrome or Opera. Firefox version 27.0 and newer support is coming soon, the WebRTC talking to Android has a problem that needs to be resolved. For now, we are focused on other areas of CameraCornet and it will be relatively minor work to solve Firefox web browser.

4) Please understand the name of the App "Cornet" is to focus on notifications and remote access to monitoring. Video Stream is not what this application is focused on. There are plenty of great solutions out there for video streaming and video recording. What this does focus on is secure remote access to your cameras - the ability to change settings and reboot your cameras from remote, etc.

5) The App is designed to scale - and even in the current Alpha form is estimated to be able to manage 50 of the Logitech Alert cameras from one dual-core Android (1GB RAM) phone or tablet. As we get later down the road, this number should grow.

6) App has been tested and works equally on all 3 models of the 700 - the 700i, 700n, 700e. That also means the 750 Master System models, which are really just a different name for the same 700i, 700n, 700e.

For your participation, after acceptance into the Alpha testing program, you will get free software and upgrades for one site for lifetime of your cameras.

There is a lot more information and details to share. But right now what I need is Logitech Alert 700 camera owners who have the time and patience to be involved with fresh new software

Contact me here on the forums - I'll reply and we can start working out details of your Android device, cameras, etc.

Thank you
CameraCornet
