Hi, everyone!

This week's release is once again focused on tweaks and fixes, but there are a couple of new features and improvements that I wanted to mention.

Calendars have received a number of updates. First off, we've tinkered under the hood with the software to give calendars a general speed boost all throughout the software. Mini-grid Calendar elements in Composer now have (abbreviated) labels on the days to make them more user-friendly. We also squashed an annoying bug that made Registration Manager links behave inconsistently.

Keegan in Support has handled LMS-related tickets and feedback, talking to clients and working with the QA and Dev departments to coordinate a host of updates and fixes for Finalsite Learn, particularly related to the Gradebook.

Finally, the new Template Editor in eNotify has a new feature: you can now add a Background Image to a row. This will give email authors new options for creating beautiful, modern email templates to deliver their messages.

Take a look at the full list of updates and fixes below.

Calendar Manager

We've updated the method we use to retrieve calendar events from the database, which should speed up operations related to calendars across the board.

Calendar popups with links to Registration Manager events will open event registration pages in a new window every time they're clicked (previously, clicking the event link a second, third, etc. time would take users directly to the event registration page, rather than popping open a new window.)

Composer

"Mini-grid"-format Calendar elements now have labels for the days of the week.

Constituent elements will now handle profile photos more elegantly when they're set to be aligned to the left or right.

eNotify

It's now possible to set a Background Image for an entire row using the new Template Editor. See the Knowledge Base for more details.

Messages composed with the new Template editor will now consistently retain em-dashes and en-dashes without turning them into hyphens.

Forms Manager

Microsoft Edge browser users will no longer be able to submit payment forms without paying.

Finalsite Learn: LMS Manager

Corrected an issue preventing Senior Systems exports from maintaining Term Tab selections and producing a blank export file.

Finalsite Learn: Gradebook

Corrected an issue that was causing the system to ignore the "Hide from Students" checkbox when advisors are allowed to see student grades.

Checking off students' completed tasks will now automatically update the 'Completed X of Y' count, without having to manually reload the page.

When creating a new event, the system will retain any Gradebook settings that have already been set when/if the teacher clicks "jump to calendar events" to add more details.

Fixed a bug that prevented some Archived Dropbox assignments from appearing in the "Archived" filter.

Parents and students will now be able to see on their Gradebook views if an Ungraded assignment has been marked as Completed, as well as any status indicators the teacher may have applied (such as "Late").

Assignments in Unweighted grade categories will no longer display an extraneous grade weighting factor.

Finalsite Learn: Quizzes

Students can now jump directly to a Quiz from its associated Calendar Event. If the quiz is Timed, students will see a popup window asking if they want to begin taking the Quiz right away.

Integrations

Fixed a broken link in Veracross to the Athletics Calendar for Parent users.

We've improved the PTC Wizard and Catertrax SSOs, giving them the ability to pass users' ImportIDs.

Payments

Payment gateway First Data made a change to their error-reporting procedures which prevented transactions initiated in Finalsite from completing; we've adjusted our systems to accommodate their update.
