This is an exciting opportunity in the Interactive Digital TV
Industry working with hardware and software integration platforms for
interactive digital TV applications. The System Verification team provides system
verification, integration, and performance of SATV products and SATV software
solutions.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Job Responsibilities:
Ø
The System Engineer is
responsible for verification, integration and support of SATV software
solutions.
Ø
Candidate will be
responsible for performing system integration, verification and validation, supportability
and effectiveness analyses for SATV system software solutions.
Ø
Develop and assist with
feature functionality improvements of automation scripts, testing applications
and miscellaneous software testing tools
Ø
Create technical
documentation (e.g. test plans and configuration procedures) for customer
specific software solutions
Ø
Assist in performance
verification of SATV products, identify and report defects to development
Ø
Assist in system
integration of SATV products with 3rd party vendors in the support
of software solutions.
Ø REQUIRED
SKILLS:
Ø Minimum of 1-2 Years’ Experience as a Systems Software Engineer
and/or System Verification Engineer working in a UNIX/Linux Environment -
Preferably in a Cable or Telecom Environment
Ø Experience Installing and Trouble-shooting UNIX/Linux Software and
Operating System Components
Ø Understanding of test engineering methodologies
Ø Functional Knowledge of UNIX/Linux Shell Scripting Languages and
System Tools such as BASH, <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />PERL, Ruby,
VI, etc.
Ø Basic Hardware and Software
Trouble-shooting Skills
Ø Understanding of Virtualization software and methods using KVM,
VMware, etc.
Ø Understanding of programming technologies.
