DS, the French premium automotive brand, is confirming its momentum with 63,800 cars sold in the world in first-half 2014. The DS cars stand apart through their remarkable design, ultimate refinement, premium materials and technology.

DS has taken 468,000 orders since its worldwide debut in 2010. Recently, the Poissy site in France achieved the distinction of producing its 300,000th DS3.



The 300,000th DS3 model in question is a limited edition “So Irresistible” cloaked in Perla Nera black body paint. This 300,000th DS3 reflects the success of the fun-loving car that appeals with its unique styling and multiple customisation possibilities, and with its impressive technological content and driving performance.

In the first half of the year, 63,800 DS cars were sold in the world. The variation of sales volumes by region is contrasted comparing to the 1st half of 2013.

Moreover, in May, the DS3 was voted “Best Supermini” by JD Power in UK with a customer satisfaction score of 79.3 per cent. This distinction joins their other accolade when they were awarded “Car of the Year” by the UK’s Top Gear magazine when the DS3 was first launched and “Car of the Year” by Diesel Car magazine.



While the DS3 has no doubt captured young hearts and minds worldwide, there is still much to love about the other members of the DS family.

For instance, the DS4 has been voted “Most Beautiful Car of the Year” by more than 60,000 web users in 62 countries. A jury from the worlds of design, sport, culture and the media presented the DS4 with the “Most Beautiful Interior” prize at the 26th International Automobile Festival. The DS4 has also been honoured at the 2011 Auto Bild Design Awards in Germany where it was named “Most Beautiful Car” in the City and Compact Car class.

Meanwhile, the DS5 has collected some notable awards including the “2012 Car Design of the Year” presented by Car Design News for its aesthetic styling achievements, while Top Gear UK has made the DS5 its “2012 Family Car of the Year” thanks to its high level of rational and practical design.
