The all-new Honda HR-V compact SUV will make its way to Malaysia next week (February 5). It is being test driven by our journalists in Chiang Mai, Thailand and we have a few details on what to expect.

Assembled in Honda’s plant in Malacca, the HR-V is powered by a 1.8-litre engine which gives it as much as 140hp of output. This model will come with a Push Start System, touch panel auto air-conditioning, electric parking brake with auto-brake hold.

Safety features of the HR-V include Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), emergency start signal, Hill Stop Assist and six airbags.

All variants tailored for the Malaysian market will come with daytime running lights. However, the sunroof and Modular rims will be excluded from the package.

More details will be revealed at its launch but in Thailand, the new Honda HR-V costs between 800,000 baht and 1.1million baht (RM88,588 and RM121,808).
