The Toyota Fun-Vii concept
The Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show will begin tomorrow, until November 24, showing off vehicles from several makes and models.
One of the exhibitors, UMW Toyota Motor will be displaying five Toyota models, including two concepts models, and four Lexus models including the Lexus F Sport Roadbike.
"This time around, we will display some of our newer and more interesting vehicles, which we are confident will take well with visitors, including some never-seen-before concept and hybrid models, for which Toyota and Lexus have been well known,” said UMW Toyota Motor president Datuk Ismet Suki.
The concepts on display are the NS4 Plug-in Hybrid, which was displayed at the Fourth International Greentech and Eco Products & Exhibition and Conference Malaysia (IGEM) 2013, and the Toyota Fun-Vii (Fun Vehicle interactive internet).
The NS4 boasts outstanding environment performance, advanced safety such as the Pre-collision system (PCS) with Collision-avoidance assist and a forward-looking design, and makes use of Toyota’s Plug-In technology which represents the synergistic infusion between hybrid and electric vehicles.
The Fun-Vii concept, on the other hand, is a concept vehicle that looks towards a future where people, society and cars are linked together.
The Fun-Vii includes an Augmented Reality (AR) navigation system and the ability to charge itself wirelessly and change its body colour with a smartphone.
Other Toyota models on display will include the Toyota Vios TRD Sportivo, Toyota Previa and Toyota Camry Hybrid, which was also displayed at IGEM 2013 alongside the NS4.
UMW Toyota Motor plans to introduce the mass production Camry Hybrid to the Malaysian market as a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) model which will allow for competitive pricing of the hybrid in this country.
UMW Toyota Motor’s luxury marque, Lexus, will also feature four models including the Lexus LFA, which features a V10 engine and a CFRP (Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastic) body.
Other models which will be on display include the Lexus LS 460L, the Lexus IS 250 F Sport and the Lexus ES 250 Luxury.
