FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) —  The Orange Bowl Committee will award some of those who have given back to the South Florida community Friday.

The Orange Bowl Impact and Excellence (OBIE) Awards will take place at the Broward Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale.

The award show is set to be a night of food, entertainment and celebrating those who share the Orange Bowl’s values in giving back to the local community.

Two individuals who have made an impact in the community and in youth sports are set to be recognized.

One of them is Olympian Lauryn Williams and Kathryn Serra, a 9-year old who earned a spot as the right tackle of the Biscayne Key Rats of the Miami of the Xtreme Football League.

The OBIES will also be a culinary experience featuring acclaimed restaurants and chefs who will offer tastings and pairings to patrons.

Celebrity Chef Norman Van Aken will headline the group of chefs.

Local restaurants expected to be at the event include Michael Schwartz’s Harry’s Pizzeria, Danny Grant’s 1826 Restaurant, YOLO, S3, Barton G Restaurant, Shula’s Steakhouse and Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza.
