CONSHOHOCKEN (CBS) — A pop-up beer garden is coming to the parking lot of a local Conshohocken office building along the Schuylkill River.

It’s expected to open in the next two to four weeks at 2 Ashe Street in a portion of the parking lot at the 3 Tower property and run through late October.

The announcement was made on the neighborhood site MoreThanTheCurve whose owner, Kevin Tierney is also the brains behind CBG–Conshohocken Beer Garden.

The garden will serve craft beers and wine and feature food from Bar Lucca and Pepperoncini as well as other restaurants and bars on select dates.

Last summer, Tierney and CBG co-owner Esther Pulver tested out the idea on a smaller scale on top of a parking deck.

This year’s project required a special exception from the Conshohocken Zoning Board. They finally got the “okay” at a board hearing on Monday night, allowing them to operate Wednesday through Saturday from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m.

The exception requires beer garden attendees to sign up to be on a weekly guest list.

Giant jenga and baggo games will be back!
