KYW Newsradio is currently honoring its 5th annual Women’s Achievement Award winners through their stories of career and community success on-air and online at cbsphilly.com/leadership. These five women are being recognized for their leadership, influence and dedication to the Delaware Valley. After accepting nominations for this award online, a panel of regional female business leaders selected four of the winners; while the fifth winner was chosen by online voting where the original nominations were received.

The 2014 KYW Newsradio Women’s Achievement Award Winners are:

Dr. Beth Baughman Dupree, Breast Cancer Surgeon and Medical Director of the Breast Health Program, Holy Redeemer Hospital and Founder, The Healing Consciousness Foundation

Wendy Hamilton, General Manager of SugarHouse Casino

Michele Lawrence, Area President and Senior Vice President, Philadelphia Retail Market of Wells Fargo

Joanna Otero-Cruz, Executive Director, Concilio

Barbara G. Shaiman, Founder, Champions of Caring

The Women’s Achievement Awards are an annual program that was developed to honor the many contributions and accomplishments of women, and to highlight the strategies and experiences that help advance their careers, businesses and lives. These five women will be honored at the annual Women’s Achievement Awards ceremony that culminates at the end of June. Leading up to the event, the stories about their achievements are featured on the air and online at cbsphilly.com/leadership.

This program is proud to benefit Career Wardrobe, a nonprofit organization that provides a unique and essential service to help women of all walks of life achieve in our community. Career Wardrobe helps women transition to employment by providing them with free professional clothing and the essential accessory that goes with every outfit: self-confidence. All in attendance are being asked to bring an accessory to donate.
