ELSMERE, Del., (CBS) – Two schools in Wilmington, Delaware were placed on precautionary lockdown after a reported home invasion in the area.

The incident was reported at about 2 p.m. in the unit block of Bungalow Avenue in Elsmere.

Police were searching for two suspects, one of which is believed to have had a handgun.

As a precaution, Baltz Elementary School and All Saints Catholic School were placed on lockdown.  Investigators say the lockdown of schools were lifted at about 3:45 p.m. Thursday afternoon.

The suspects are described as two Black males with their faces concealed, 20-to-30 years of age, one wearing camo pants and the other blue jeans.

According to investigators, one suspect is in police custody at this time.

Delaware State Police and New Castle County Police are assisting Elsmere Police with the investigation.
