ALSIP, Ill. (CBS) – A man was injured early Friday when his car was hit by a flatbed tow truck, and pinned against a concrete barrier along I-294 near Alsip.
Illinois State Police said the tow truck hit a car in a work zone on the Tri-State Tollway between Kedzie Avenue and I-57 around 5:30 a.m.
The car was pinned against a concrete barrier wall.
Fire crews had to cut open the car to get the driver out, and he was taken to the hospital. His condition was not immediately available.
