CONTEST RULES
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. THE CONTEST IS VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.
1. How to Enter the Giveaway:
(a) The “#stingkroq” giveaway will begin on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 12:00pm Pacific Time (“PT”) and end on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at 12:00pm PT.
(b) To participate in the contest users will need to follow the CBS Los Angeles Twitter account @CBSLA during the promotional window. Users must also tag @CBSLA in their submission and include “#stingkroq” in their caption. Contest: Entrants must Tweet us via Twitter showing why you are the biggest Sting fan. One (1) winner will be selected at random on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at 12:15pm PT.
(c) To enter via Twitter, Follow the @CBSLA account during the Entry Period. Entrant will need to have a valid Twitter account in order to enter. Entrant may not use more than one (1) Twitter account to enter. If they do not already have one, entrants can open a Twitter account at no charge at http://www.twitter.com. Entries submitted may not be acknowledged or returned. Proof of submission of an entry shall not be deemed proof of receipt by CBS Television. By entering the Promotion, entrants consent to be subject to all notices posted online including but not limited to CBS Television’s Privacy Policy. Use of Twitter as a means of entry will be subject to Twitter’s privacy policy and terms of service. Entrant agrees to release Twitter from any and all liability associated with this Promotion. The Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Twitter.
(d) Any Photo Submissions by entrant must be the entrants’ original, creative work, and each entrant must have the right to submit them. By participating in the Promotion, entrant warrants and represents that he/she has the legal right and authority to submit the Photo Submission and that the entrant has obtained permission from every individual visible in the Photo Submission (or from their parents/guardians if individuals are minors) to enter the Photo Submission in the Promotion. By entering the Photo Submission, entrant grants to Presenter and CBS Television a perpetual, royalty-free license to use and publish entrant’s Photo Submission in connection with the Promotion in any media now existing or hereafter devised throughout the world in perpetuity, without any notification, opportunity to review, right of approval, or additional consideration whatsoever. The Photo Submissions must not contain copyrighted materials or any other materials that may be restricted, prohibited or outlawed by federal, state or local laws. Photo Submissions may not promote alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco, firearms/weapons (or the use of any of the foregoing) or promote any activities that may appear unsafe or dangerous, and Photo Submissions may not defame, misrepresent or contain disparaging remarks about Presenter and CBS Television. In their sole discretion, each reserves the right to Mark as inappropriate or report to Twitter any entry if such entry’s associated Photo Submission or other content contains indecent or inappropriate content or if such Photo Submission or other content contains material whose content is deemed at the sole discretion of CBS Television to be unsuitable for public display, broadcast, or posting on any CBS Television or Presenter-administered website (i.e., entries must be television clean). Photo Submissions may not defame or invade the publicity rights or privacy of any person, living or deceased, or otherwise infringe upon any person’s personal or proprietary rights including but not limited to copyrights or trademarks. Presenter, CBS Television reserves the right to edit any Photo Submission for content. Entries that do not comply with these rules may not be eligible.
(e) CBS Television (“Sponsor”) is not responsible for late, lost, stolen, misdirected, misaddressed, postage due, incomplete or illegible entries. Sponsor is not responsible for technical or computer failures, errors or data loss of any kind, lost or unavailable Internet connections, or failed, incomplete, garbled or deleted computer or network transmissions, inability to access any Web site or on-line service, or any other error or malfunction, or late, lost, illegible or misdirected entries. Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered are void. If the judges determine, in their sole discretion, that there is any suspected or actual electronic tampering with the Giveaway or if technical difficulties compromise the integrity of the Giveaway, the judges reserve the right to void the entries at issue and/or terminate the Giveaway and conduct a random drawing to award the prize among all eligible entries received as of the termination date. If the Giveaway is terminated due to tampering or technical difficulties prior to its expiration date, notice will be posted at http://www.CBSLA.com. If, for any reason, the Giveaway is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Giveaway, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Giveaway. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant that tampers with the operation of the Giveaway or website or violates the Official Rules of the Giveaway. By use of this website and by entering the Giveaway, you agree to the Sponsor’s Web Site Terms of Use Agreement and to the use of your personal information as described in the Privacy Policy located at: http://www.CBSLA.com.
(f) Contestants may enter as many times until winner is deemed at the end of the Entry Period.
(g) Broadcasts are subject to preemptions and scheduling changes. If such changes occur, they will be posted on the CBS Television contest website: http://www.CBSLA.com.
(h) Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries.
2. Eligibility Restrictions:
(a) The Giveaway is open to residents in the Southern California Market, within the counties of Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside, or Ventura, who are 18 years of age or older. Employees of CBS Television Stations, CBS Corporation, other television and radio stations in the markets, and their affiliates, subsidiaries and advertising agencies and their immediate family members or persons living in the same household are ineligible to participate or win.
(b) Viewers are eligible to win a CBS Television contest only once every sixty days. Only one winner per household is permitted in any Giveaway. Viewers are eligible to win a prize valued at $600.00 or more only once every six months.
(c) All entries become the sole property of CBS Television and will not be returned. By entering, entrants agree to abide by these rules, and warrant and represent that their entry is their original work.
(d) Contestants are required to provide truthful information and Sponsor will reject and delete any entry that it discovers to be false or fraudulent. Sponsor will disqualify any entry from individuals who do not meet the eligibility requirements, and Sponsor will also delete any entry received from persons under the age of 13.
3. Prizes:
(a) One (1) prize winner will receive two (2) tickets (names will be on guest list) to Keven & Bean’s Breakfast with Sting on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at 8am PT. Approximate Retail Value: $0.00 (No retail value on the prize as this prize is not for sale to the public).
(b) All other costs and expenses in connection with Prize Winner’s receipt and use of the prize are the winner’s sole responsibility. Prize does not include items not specified such as food and beverages, merchandise, souvenirs, etc.
(c) Giveaway prizes are not transferable. Prizes may not be substituted for or redeemed for cash. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prizes of comparable value.
4. Selection of Winners:
(a) Decisions of Sponsor with respect to the Giveaway are final.
(b) One (1) winner will be selected at random on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at 12:15pm PT. The Prize Winner will be determined based upon entry via Twitter during the promotional window. A representative of CBS will contact the winners by Twitter Message. Any prize or prize certificate not claimed within 24 hours of notification will be forfeited by the winner. If CBS is unable to contact a winner based on the information provided through their Twitter Account, KCBS/KCAL-TV is not liable to fulfill the prize. In the event that a prize or prize certificate is mailed to the winner, it will be with the prior written consent of the winner and therefore, winner assumes the risk of its arrival. KCBS/KCAL-TV is not responsible for the safe arrival of a prize or prize certificate.
5. Conditions:
(a) Payment of all federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winners and winners may receive an IRS Form 1099 or equivalent from Sponsor.
(b) By participating in the Giveaway, the winner agrees to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this Giveaway. By accepting the prize, winner grants to Sponsor the right to use the winner’s name, voice, picture and/or likeness for purposes of advertising and publicity in any and all media now known or hereafter invented, without further permission or additional compensation (except where prohibited by law). All expenses on receipt and use of prize, and all federal, state and local taxes, are the sole responsibility of winner. Winner and companion, by acceptance of their prize, agree to release CBS Television, CBS Corp. and their respective parents and subsidiaries, officers, directors, shareholders and their respective advertising, promotion and production agencies from any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership or use of the prize or while preparing for, participating in, and/or traveling to any prize-related activity. Void where prohibited by law.
6. Sponsor reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the Giveaway, which will become effective upon announcement.
7. Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the Giveaway or in the announcement of the prize.
8. Failure to comply with the Giveaway rules may result in a contestant’s disqualification.
