LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The Dodgers and Lakers will be teaming up for a unique event for Monday’s game against the Philadelphia Phillies at Dodger Stadium.
The iconic Laker girls will be on the field for a pregame ceremony and will cheer on the Dodgers from the right field pavilion. Former Laker Metta World Peace will throw out the first pitch.
You can also grab a “Laker Nation” drink during the game. The cocktail consists of Ketel One vodka, grenadine, sweet and sour, Blue Curacao and a splash of cranberry juice on the rocks. It will be served at the right and left field plaza bars.
Philly fans won’t go unnoticed. The Philly Cheesesteak Dog, an all-beef hot dog topped with grilled steak, caramelized onions with provolone cheese on an Italian roll will be available at the Extreme Loaded Dog concession areas on the field, loge and reserve levels.
The night will also recognize retired U.S. Coast Guard Lt. Cmdr. Jerry Green, of Fallbrook, as Military Hero of the Game. Green spent a good portion of his career involved with narcotic operations across the world and counter terrorism strategy for U.S. ports.
