Celebrations Include Limited-Time Promotional Fares Between Muscat And Singapore

VIP guests joined Oman Air’s inaugural flight from Muscat to Singapore on 29th March 2014. The new route has been designed to meet strong demand for services between the two countries, and offers daily flights aboard Oman Air’s award-winning fleet of Airbus A330s.

His Highness Sayyid Taimur bin Asad Al Said, a member of the Royal Family of Oman, joined the flight as Oman Air’s Chief Guest. He was welcomed by Oman Air’s Chief Executive Officer and a team of senior airline managers. Media representatives and other stakeholders were also welcomed aboard the aircraft. Throughout the flight, Mr Gregorowitsch and his team were on hand to discuss the new route and describe the importance of the new Singapore service within Oman Air’s current ambitious growth strategy.

Each guest enjoyed the opportunity of experiencing Oman Air’s award-winning onboard service, dining and inflight entertainment. They were also able to experience the airline’s internationally-acclaimed Business Class seats. The seats offer a 17-inch personal monitor and a 77-inch long, fully lie-flat bed – one of the longest in the skies.

Upon arrival in Singapore, an exciting programme of events got underway. The programme includes a press conference and a glittering gala dinner follows, attended on behalf of the Government of Singapore by Mr Lim Hng Kiang, Minister of Trade and Industry.

Paul Gregorowitsch commented:

“Oman Air is proud to be launching our latest, highly prestigious service, which now flies daily between Muscat and Singapore.

“I was particularly proud that we were joined on this inaugural flight by His Highness Sayyid Taimur bin Asad Al Said. We were honoured to give His Highness, and our other valued guests, a very warm welcome to Oman Air. Furthermore, it was a pleasure to introduce each of our guests to Oman Air’s outstanding aircraft and authentic Omani hospitality as we flew from Muscat to Singapore.

“The high demand for seats that followed the announcement of the service has been very satisfying to witness. It shows that Singapore is one of the most popular destinations in the world for both business and leisure travellers. It also shows that there is a strong desire amongst travellers from Singapore and South East Asia for discovering the unique charms offered by the Sultanate of Oman.”

As a celebration of our new service, Oman Air is offering – for a limited time only – special promotional rates for flights between Muscat and Singapore. Economy Class returns are currently priced from OR 234.8 per person, with Business Class returns starting from OR 814.8. All fares quoted include taxes and charges, and are subject to availability. Return flights between Muscat and Singapore can be booked through your local travel agent, by contacting your local Oman Air office or by visiting www.omanair.com.

The launch of the new service continues Oman Air’s current ambitious programme of growth. This will see the airline’s fleet strength increase to 50 over the next three years. The expanded fleet will enable Oman Air to offer customers a greater choice of destinations, increased frequencies on established routes and more convenient connections at Muscat International Airport.
