Armando Anthony Corea (doğumu 12 Haziran 1941), müzik dünyasında bilinen adı ile Chick Corea, İspanyol kökenli ABD'li caz piyanisti ve besteci. En ünlü parçası Spain olarak bilinir.
17 yaşında Manhattan’daki önemli caz sahnelerinde Maynard Ferguson, Kenny Dorham, Stan Getz, The thad jones/mel lewis Big Band, Herbie Mann ve Sarah Voughan gibi isimlerle çalıştı ve müzik dünyasına parlaması bitmeyen bir yıldız olarak ismini kazımaya başladı.Corea, altmışlı yılların ortalarında başlayan cazdaki avangard akımın etkisi altına girerek, Dave Holland, Anthony Braxton ve Barry Altschul’la birlikte Circle grubunu kurup bu grupla eşsiz doğaçlamalar yaptığı dört kayıtı caz dünyasına armağan etmiştir.1970 yılında Return to Forever adlı grubu oluşturdu.
İlk başlarda Latin Jazz grubu olarak başlasa da grubun lideri Chick Corea John Mc Laughlin, Mahavishnu Orchestra ve ayrıca başta Yes ve ELP olmak üzere İngiltere'den çıkan bazı Progressive Rock gruplarından çok etkilenerek tarzı Jazz-Rock'a kaydırdı. Grubun ilk olarak klavyelerde Chick Corea, basta Stanley Clarke, nefeslilerde Joe Farrell, perküsyonda Airto Moreira ve vokallerde Flora Purim'den oluşuyordu.
Return to Forever Chick Corea'nın grup için hazırladığı ilk albümün adıydı ve grubun adı Return to Forever olarak kaldı. O sene Light As Feather isimli bir albüm daha yaptılar; o da Rock'dan çok Latin ezgileri içeriyordu.Bir süre sonra Farrell ayrılınca onun yerine rock gitaristi Bill Connors geçti.Bir albüm sonra Connors'ın yerine Berklee'den taze mezun olmuş henüz 19 yaşındaki Al Di Meola geçti ve Return to Forever rüya kadroya kavuşmuş oldu.
Birlikte yaptıkları ilk albüm Where Have I Known You Before beş ay boyunca Top40 listesine kaldı. Sonraki albüm No Mystery sadece üç hafta listede kalabildi ama 1975 yılında en iyi jazz performansı dalında Grammy ödülü kazandırdı. Bir sonraki sene gelen Romantic Warrior ortaçağ temalarıyla süslü bir concept albümdü. Bu özellikleriyle de en iyi sattıkları ve sonunda Altın Plak Ödülü kazandıran bir çalışma oldu.
Bütün bunlara rağmen artık tarzını ve yolunu değiştirmek isteyen Chick Corea grubu dağıttı.Tam otuz sene sonra 2008'de ekip tekrar toplandı ve sevenlerine Monreux'da verdikleri konserle kavuştu...
Klasik müzik, Klasik Caz, Samba temelli latin-caz, Elektronik müzik gibi bir çok dalda ustalığını kanıtlayan Chick Corea, Miles Davis,Herbie Hancock, Keith Jarret, Bill Evans, Al di Meola, Bobby mcFerrin, Stan Getz, John Patitucci, Deva Weckl gibi ölümsüz isimlerle bir çok projeye imza attı.Caz kariyerinde hemen hemen her şeyi yapmış olan piyanist, bu başarılarını sayısız Downbeat ödülü ve 16 tane Grammy ödülüyle taçlandırmıştır. 2009 yılında John Mclaughlin ile birlikte kurduğu Five Peace Band ile birlikte yanına Christian Mc Bride, Kenny Garrett ve Brian Blade’i alarak Asya ve Kuzey Amerika turnelerine çıkmıştır.
