Dear FCC Members,

Over the next five weeks the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) will hold a series of public meetings to take input on prioritizing the state’s water quality monitoring and restoration efforts for the next two years. The meetings will help determine when Total Maximum Daily Loads and Basin Management Action Plans are developed and implemented for Florida's waters.

Meetings are scheduled in Live Oak, West Palm Beach, Fort Myers, Pensacola, Orlando and Bartow. It is important that local environmental advocates attend and express support for water quality monitoring and restoration projects that prevent nutrients and pollution from entering Florida’s waters.
