The National Speleological Society - Cave Diving Section (NSS-CDS) will be electing three (3) members of the Board of Directors this year in advance of its annual meeting.
The nominations committee is seeking candidates to run for these three (3) seats for the 2014-2016 term.
The timetable for the election is as follows:
February 15th Nominations for a board seat are due.
March 1st Platform statement is due
March 15th Ballots to be sent out
May10th Last day for ballots to be counted
May 17th Notification to elected members
May24th Annual members meeting at the CDS workshop
To be eligible for nomination, you must be currently dues paid (regular or life member), with membership in the NSS-CDS for over one year at the time of election, and you cannot have served more than two (2) consecutive terms if already in office.
You must submit a platform statement outlining why you wish to run, your qualifications, and outline any other pertinent information. The statements from all candidates will then be disseminated to the membership along with the ballots for the election. The candidates who receive the three (3) highest vote tallies shall be elected the board and installed at the May meeting.
The term of office shall be for two (2) years.
