Could Barcelona clinch La Liga with this XI...?

SEE ALSO: The best managers in world football

Barcelona, for one of few first times in recent footballing history, finished last season without any silverware.

Under new manager Luis Enrique, they'll be desperate for it not to happen again.

As a result, we reckon they'll make some shrewd transfers this summer to add to the already star-studded Nou Camp squad.

Here's how they could start in 2014/15...

GK) Marc andre ter Stegen

The young German keeper joined from Borussia Monchengladbach earlier in the summer, to replace stalwart stopper Victor Valdes, who is leaving on a free transfer on the expiration of his contract.

DR) Dani Alves

One of the best fullbacks in world football, Alves provides Barcelona with a consistently exciting and dynamic force up the right flank. He's still got a few years left at the very top.

DC) Gerard Pique

Barcelona's first-choice central defender suffered with injuries last term, and will likely be lining up alongside a new partner with long-serving partner Carles Purol returing.

DC) Marquinhos

With PSG securing David Luiz from Chelsea, brilliant young Brazilian defender Marquinhos is expected to move to Barcelona. They are closing in on a £28.4m deal for the man who will have cumulated transfer fees of nearly £60m before next season, having barely played 50 professional football matches so far in his career!

DL) Jordi Alba

The Spanish left-back, who like Alves on the other flank loves to bomb forward and support in attack, will almost certainly be starting on Barcelona's left next term.

DMC) Sergio Busquets

Busquets provides a wonderful platform from which the brilliant attackers can perform. Alex Song could be sold, while Javier Mascherano will stay and act as backup for this position, as well as centre-back.

MC) Andres Iniesta

Still one of the best midfielders on the planet - Iniesta epitomises the way Barcelona try to play football. Even with a new manager at the helm, this approach won't change.

MC) Ivan Rakitic

Barcelona have nearly wrapped up a €16.1m deal for Sevilla's bombarding skipper, who reached double figures for both goals and assists last term in La Liga. Legendary midfielder Xavi will likely be used more sparingly as a result next term.

AMR) Marco Reus

Barcelona are desperate to sign the currently injured German, and although his club side Borussia Dortmund would prefer him to stay, few would bet against Los Cules completing a move for the excellent 25-year-old.

AML) Neymar

The Brazilian Golden Boy has already had his first season in Spain, and fans will hope he starts to truly fulfil his incomparable talent next season from the left.

FC) Lionel Messi

If Messi has a few more seasons at the level he's capable of, he could quite rightly be considered as the greatest player ever to grace the game come the end of his career. Last term, he notched 41 goals in all competitions, despite suffering with injuries.
