Job Summary:

The Senior Recruiter is responsible for developing, facilitating and implementing corporate sourcing and recruiting strategies to identify, attract and hire top talent who fit the culture, mission and values of Catholic Health Initiatives. This high level recruitment professional will proactively build talent pipelines for executive and strategic positions, participate on strategic system-wide recruitment projects, and may mentor recruiting consultants on the team. This individual will manage the full lifecycle recruiting process and maintain excellent relationships with hiring managers, candidates, and the community at-large. Approximately 30% of this role will focus on strategic projects and building pipelines for critical and strategic positions and 70% of the time will be spent on requisition fulfillment.

Essential Duties:
1. Proactively identify and build relationships with top talent to ensure a strong talent pipeline that supports strategic positions and business initiatives for CHI.

2. Participate in a leadership role on CHI-wide recruiting projects and initiatives which improves processes, policies, tools, candidate quality, and candidate experience.

3. Support CHI diversity initiatives by implementing minority outreach recruiting strategies and maintaining contact with minority organization/association representatives to enhance the recruiting efforts.

4. Establish a trusted advisor role with hiring managers as it relates to talent acquisition.

5. Manage the full lifecycle recruiting process for national office positions. a) Work with designated hiring managers to review, analyze, and clarify job specifications, competencies/skills required, and understand strategic alignment. b)Develop a sourcing plan specific to each job opportunity and build pool of diverse talent. Plan may include a variety of strategies: networking, employee referrals, Internet-mining, cold calling, advertising, recruitment fairs/events, and use web-based assessment tools to identify qualified candidates. c) Develop interview guide for each open position utilizing "can do-will do- will fit" model and utilize behavioral interview techniques to conduct candidate interviews. d)Manage the interview process, ensuring that the hiring team is properly prepared to effectively evaluate and sell the candidate on the opportunity. Collect and assess interview feedback. Provide input and guidance to managers in selecting finalist candidates. e) Develop competitive offers; manage offer extension and negotiations and effectively close candidates. f) Manage candidates through the process to ensure a positive candidate experience from initial contact to first day start and on-boarding.

6. Partners with Director, Talent Acquisition and CHI Strategic Talent Management to enhance internal recruitment and internal talent relationship management.

7. Facilitate LEAD training module on behavioral interviewing to improve hiring managers' skills and develop common interview techniques and improve selection process.

8. Effectively manage search firms as needed, recognizing that the desire would be to significantly reduce the use of outside search firms.

9. Research and develop new recruiting techniques and support continuous improvement efforts.

**Qualifications:**

Education :

* Bachelor's degree in relevant field required. PHR/SPHR preferred, but not required

Experience :

* Minimum of eight years of recruiting experience required, three years in a corporate setting.
* Healthcare recruitment experience a plus.
* Experience recruiting for executive level positions strongly preferred.
* Ability to manage executive search firms.
* Demonstrated ability to source active and passive candidates using a wide variety of resources.
* Highly proficient with online communications, search engines and career websites.
* Understands and proactively supports Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action legislation and other legal aspects of interviewing and hiring.
* Competent use of HRIS and Applicant Tracking systems.
* Ability to utilize effective interviewing techniques in order to analyze applicants' qualifications in relation to job requirements and to determine a quality match. Experience in behavioral interviewing techniques strongly preferred.
* Demonstrated exceptional hiring manager relationship management skills
* Demonstrated ability to build and maintain highly effective relationships throughout all levels of the organization
* Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate credibly and effectively with applicants, outside agencies, and all levels of the organization.
* Interpersonal skills sufficient to convey and receive information on a one-on-one basis; must be sensitive, persuasive and tactful and be viewed as an individual that employees from all levels can approach for discussion of employment matters.
* Must be able to work independently.
