**Description:**
*Job Summary:*
ACDS Clinician provides a full range of substance abuse and mental health services including counseling, assessment and case management services. Participates in interdisciplinary team treatment planning, record keeping, consultation and education and performs other responsibilities as assigned.

Work with the counseling team to provide educational and therapeutic services to substance abuse population and to
Provide individual counseling and case management services to assigned caseload.
Facilitate both didactic and open process counseling groups as part of the IOP and OP programs.
Demonstrate a strong knowledge of substance abuse disorders and therapeutic interventions to treat this population.
Demonstrate an understanding of co-occurring disorders and be familiar with psychotropic medications to treat mental health disorders.
Ensures treatment planning process, addresses patient needs as evidenced by chart documentation.
Conduct initial assessments for incoming clients and assign clients to the appropriate treatment program which best meets their needs.
Maintain all documentation of client treatment and case management services in a timely manner.
**Qualifications:**
* Education: *
MSW, MS or MA in Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
*Experience:*
1 to 3 years previous counseling experience or related experience working with persons with substance abuse disorders.
*License/Certification:*
Licensed in appropriate dicipline required.
BLS for healthcare providers to be obtained within 12 weeks from start date.
LPC/LAC/LSW/LCSW/CADC/LACDC required
