FREE FUEL Contest

*NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Contest entrants are not required to apply for or enter into a transaction in order to participate in the Contest. The “Fuel for a Year” contest (the “Contest”) is open only to legal residents of Canada, who are the age of majority in their province of residence at the time of entry which include B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia only. Employees of The Cash Store Financial Services Inc. (the “Sponsor”), its advertising and promotional agencies, and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and immediate household members of any of the above are not eligible to participate in the Contest. The Contest begins at 12:01 am MT on THURSDAY, JULY 3rd, 2014, and ends at 11:59 pm MT on TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30th, 2014 (the “Contest Period”). One (1) Grand Prize: one (1) $3,000 cash will be awarded and ninety-one (91) secondary prizes, seven (7) per week for thirteen (13) weeks, valued at $75 cash. The Grand prize can be entered online at www.cashstore.ca/free-fuel or at any participating branch. Enter to win a secondary prize at any participating branch only. Odds of winning any prize depend on the number of eligible entries. One entry per person, either at a branch or online, per person, per e-mail address. The “FREE FUEL” contest (the “Contest”) is open only to legal residents of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia, who are the age of majority in their province of residence at the time of entry. Employees of The Cash Store Financial Services Inc. (the “Sponsor”), its advertising and promotional agencies, and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and immediate household members of any of the above are not eligible to enter the Contest.
The Contest begins at 12:01 am MT on Thursday, July 3rd, 2014, and ends at 11:59 pm MT on Tuesday, September 30th, 2014 (the “Contest Period”).
How to Enter to Win the Grand Prize
No purchase necessary. Contest entrants are not required to apply for or enter into a transaction in order to participate in the Contest but must possess a valid email address. There are two ways to enter during the Contest Period:
To enter the Contest at a branch, speak to an associate.
To enter the Contest online, go to www.cashstore.ca/free-fuel and follow the instructions there.
How to Enter to Win a Secondary Prize
To enter to win a secondary prize during the Contest Period, present a valid gas receipt, dated within the last 7 days, to any participating The Cash Store branch associate so that they may complete your entry.
Limit: One (1) entry, either online or at a branch, during the Contest Period per person, per email address provided.
Grand Prize: There is one (1) Grand Prize, consisting of $3,000.00 in cash.
Secondary Prizes: There are ninety-one (91) Instant Prizes each consisting $75 in cash. 7 prizes will be awarded weekly from among all the valid entries received at all branches.
No substitution, transfer or assignment of the any of the prizes is permitted, except that Sponsor reserves the right to substitute as it deems necessary. All prizes will be delivered not less than thirty (30) days after the winner has complied with all of the requirements set out in these Contest Rules. Delivery will be at the branch where the winner entered the Contest or as otherwise agreed by the Sponsor and winner prior to delivery.
The odds of winning the Grand Prize depend on the number of eligible entries received by the end of the Contest Period. The odds of winning the Secondary prize depend on the number of eligible entries received weekly throughout the Contest Period.
Selection of Winners
Grand Prize: The Grand Prize winner will be selected in a random draw from among all eligible entries received during the Contest Period, which will be held on Friday, October 10th, 2014, (the “Draw Date”) at the Sponsor’s office in Edmonton, Alberta, during morning business hours.
Secondary Prizes: The ninety-one (91) Prizes will be awarded as follows:
7 prize winners will be selected in a random draw from among all eligible weekly entries received at all participating The Cash Store branches by 11:59 PM each Sunday beginning Sunday July 6th.
Non-winning entries will be accumulated and included in the following weekly draw.
No responsibility is assumed by Sponsor for lost, late, or misdirected entries or any computer, online, telephone, or technical malfunctions that may occur. All entries become the property of
Sponsor and will not be returned.
After the Grand Prize and Secondary draws are held, the selected entrants will be contacted by telephone or email or text and will be required to correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill testing question. In the event that any of the selected entrants cannot be reached within three (3) business days or do not correctly answer the skill-testing question, another entrant will be selected in accordance with these Contest Rules.
In addition, the selected entrants must each complete and sign a Release, which must be returned to the Sponsor by e-mail or fax within the time specified by the Sponsor. If a selected entrant does not return the Release within that time, he/she will be declared ineligible. In the Release, the Winner will confirm compliance with these Contest Rules and release the Sponsors, its affiliates, its advertising and promotional agencies, and their respective directors, officers, employees and assigns (the “Releasees”) from any liability in connection with the Contest, or any part of any Prize.
Entries and Personal Information
All entries are the property of the Sponsor and none shall be returned. By entering the Contest, entrants consent to their personal information being collected, used and disclosed as the Sponsor deems necessary to administer the Contest, contact the potential winners and deliver the prizes. For online entries each entrant will be required to provide his/her: full name; daytime phone number; e-mail address; and full mailing address. In the Release, the winners shall also agree to the use of his/her name, address (city and province only), photo, and/or image on video, in print, and/or on the Internet for publicity purposes relating to this Contest and other promotional purposes of the Sponsor, without compensation.
Rights Reserved
The Sponsor reserves the right to terminate or modify the Contest, in whole or in part, for any reason in the Sponsor’s sole discretion, without advance notice. For example only, the Contest may be modified or terminated if the Contest is not capable of running as planned for any reason, including tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, errors in programming, printing, distribution or production errors or any other errors or other causes of any nature whatsoever beyond the reasonable control of the Sponsor and/or its agencies which affect the administration, security, integrity or conduct of this Contest.
The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant that it deems, in its sole discretion, to be disqualified or ineligible to enter the Contest, or in violation of these Contest Rules. The Sponsor reserves the right to seek any available legal remedy in connection with any attempt to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest.
General
By participating in this Contest, entrants agree to comply with these Contest Rules and with the decisions of the Sponsor, which are irrevocable and shall be legally binding in all instances.
This Contest and the Contest Rules shall be exclusively governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute arising hereunder shall be adjudicated solely in the applicable court in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations.
