I replaced the Wilkinson on my CT6 with a Hipshot Countour tremolo back in 2010.

Hipshot make the best traditional Fender style fixed and tremolo bridges.

The base plate is solid brass. The saddles, springs and screws are stainless steel.

My Hipshot has the best witness point of any bridge I have ever owned. The angle of the saddles makes adjusting them easy.

Their tremolo is more stable than a Floyd Rose. It has bearing surfaces instead of a knife edge like a Floyd. It is the most buttery tremolo I have ever played. Six years, no wear on the bearings, still as buttery smooth. It still does flutters.

It is also the most comfortable bridge I have ever played. I have a lot of control. When I switch over to my Floyd equipped guitar I have to get used to control (palm muting) again.

The arm is the perfect angle and is a joy to use.

Kiesel needs to move on to Hipshot trems whenever they can. Jeff seems to think they wont sit right on the CT6, it's fine on mine, and he thinks they won't flutter, they will.

I could go on all day. You are looking at the fixed bridge which is exactly the same, but not a tremolo.

Anyway, my 2 cents.

Well I started my build already and went with OFR. I haven't seen any Hipshot trems over here so I can't really test one out persay. I'm already really used to Floyds/Ibanez Edge bridges so it's not an issue for me.

Also, Jeff doesn't like floyd roses and has said the only reason he offers them is because people want them. Being that if I order a Kiesel over here in Japan, I basically lose out on the 10 day trial because of how long it takes to get here, I dont want to jump into something that I can't easily get fixed or replaced. If I could test out Hipshot stuff over here sometime, maybe my next Kiesel can have a hipshot.
