Dodge has been around almost a hundred years and it’s still going strong. The two Dodge brothers who started the making cars back in 1915 would be proud of the cars and trucks that Dodge puts out today.

Dodge was sold to Chrysler Corporation in 1928 and is still part of the Chrysler Group. Dodge, today, makes some nice vehicles, including the famous Dodge Ram truck. This truck is one of the most popular trucks in the country and even though Dodge makes it, it is marketed under the name Ram.

The Ram is a full-size pickup truck that has won numerous prestigious awards including, Moto Trend’s Truck of the Year four times. It’s built in Warren, Michigan and in Coahuila, Mexico. The Ram is a powerful truck and a great looking truck. Every time a Ram pulls up next to you, you probably can’t help yourself and look over at the burly strong boy. My curiosity always gets the best of me when I see one on the road. If it gets a little ahead of me I always try to catch up for a better look. The Ram just looks so…healthy. It sounds pretty healthy, too.

When I see a Ram pull up to me at a signal light, it always gives me the impression of a big strong guy who doesn’t want any trouble, but is certainly not going to shy away from it either. I always gaze at the Ram with discretion. I don’t want to be too obvious in my admiration and I don’t want to offend it by staring. I think the Ram would understand, however, staring probably happens a lot.

I was able to take one for a test drive recently at Deery Brothers of Ames and I was stunned by its sheer power. It looks powerful on the outside, no doubt, but I was amazed at how powerful and responsive it really is. It was pretty comfortable in that cab and the steering was right on point. Acceleration was the thing that got me. The power of that HEMI V-8 threw me for a loop. It was totally controllable and thoroughly enjoyable. The Trans shifted effortlessly and I was in heaven for those twenty minutes.

After the test drive I realized that I could now look at other peoples’ Ram trucks with a little more boldness. I didn’t need to feel like I had to be so polite anymore. After all, I know what they’re like now.
