This model is present for more than three decades and so far we have seen seven generations of this car. It was originally launched in 1982, and it was a sub-compact car until 1999 when it became a compact car. Finally, in 2012 it grown once again and Nissan Sentra is now a midsize car. The current generation was presented in 2012 Beijing Auto Show and short after that it was launched as 2013 year model. Since this model is present for only two years, is hard to expect some big novelties for 2015 Nissan Sentra. However, it gets some new features and most of them are inside of the car.



2015 Nissan Sentra redesign and new features

When it is about look of 2015 Nissan Sentra, there are many similarities with its bigger brother Altima. This 4-door sedan also features trapezoidal grille, similar headlights and some side window details. Similarities can also be found inside. It uses new platform which is around 150 pounds lighter than previous generation model. The interior of 2015 Sentra is designed in the same style as Altima. This model is offered in seven trim levels, so it is very hard to count all available features. We will mention only some of most noticeable ones. Those are 5.8-inch display screen, NissanConnect connectivity system, SiriusXM satellite radio, navigation system, rear view camera, dual-zone climate control and many other features. New features for 2015 Sentra are Bluetooth connectivity, USB inputs, cruise control and automatic headlights for all models.



2015 Nissan Sentra engine

The 2015 Nissan Sentra will be powered with new engine which came along with new model in 2012. It is a 1.8-liter 16-valve DOHC inline-four engine that outputs 130 hp and 128 lb-ft of torque. All models will be offered with CVT or manual transmission except base S model which will be available only with 6-speed manual gearbox. Fuel consumption is 30 mpg in the city and 39 mpg on the highway.



2015 Nissan Sentra price and competition

The 2015 Nissan Sentra starts around 16.000 dollars and it can go up to 24.000 dollars, depending on trim level. There are plenty of competitors and some of them are Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic, Mazda 3, Ford Focus etc.
