2016 will go down in history as a wild-ride-of-a-year. A remarkable time in this country’s history (no matter who you voted for), and a crazy time in the arts, world events, and technology especially. This was the year of drones, the Battle of the Virtual Assistants, of Snapchat filters, and apps that do everything (even calm during the holidays).
Here on the blog, we had a record-breaking year of page views. I can’t thank you enough for reading, for checking in week after week. I sincerely hope that each article was a little inspiring, a little educational, or both. I’ve veered into some more fashion-oriented content, some home design (thanks to my work with Apartment Therapy and HGTV), but of course most everything I do orbits around helping people improve their relationship with technology and make one’s digital life a little easier to manage.
Of course, everything I do would be meaningless without you guys— so I wanted to share the posts that YOU loved and shared the most this year. Thank you again for all your support. I can’t wait to jump back in in 2017!
Smackdowns
You guys, you loooove your Smackdowns. They were by far the most popular posts we did this year, and they will be a regular thing on the blog next year. I think it’s tough to find reliable product comparisons written in plain english, that break things down succinctly, yet in relevant detail. I hope you keep loving ours. (And let me know in the comments what you want us to review next!).

Makeovers
This was kind of a dream come true for me. I’m not an interior designer, but I LOVE decorating and design. So when we shot two makeovers in my house, I got to play stylist and decorator, and think a lot about how people live in their homes, and how technology can make life easier, room by room. I was so thrilled that you loved them!

Apps
We are obsessed with apps, people! I know I’m always hungry for the next app that’s going to solve all my problems, so I totally get that you’re on the hunt too. Here are the articles about apps that you loved:
