This position is part of a new and growing area with Anthem to find savings related to overpayments. Determines specific business requirements to address complex recovery situations. Collaborates with query developers to refine query logic an pinpoint recoveries.
The*Business Analyst II*and*Business Analyst III*serves as the liaison between the Validation and Query Development teams in translating overpayment recovery business needs into recovery query development. Identifies and analyzes complex overpayment recovery needs to determine optimal means of meeting those needs. Determines specific business requirements to address complex business needs. Develops Business Requirement Documentation and coordinates UAT, involving those outside the unit. Works with Query Developers to ensure requirements will be incorporated into Recovery query design and testing. In-depth knowledge of recovery policies and procedures is required. Is main liaison with recovery areas to help solve problems and address questions. Good writing and communication skills are required.

* This position is midlevel analyst with more recovery experience.
* Requires a BS/BA degree.
* 3-5 years related recovery analysis experience,
* or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
* Experience with Microsoft Excel and Outlook
* Experience with claims process, claims editing, or reimbursement policy management.
* Medicare/Medicaid claims experience a plus
* CPC Certification a plus
* Business Analyst III *
* This position is the most senior Business Analyst expert.
* Requires a BS/BA degree.
* 5-7 years of recovery analysis experience that includes knowledge of recovery systems capabilities and business process;
* or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
* Experience with Microsoft Excel and Outlook
* Experience with claims process, claims editing, or reimbursement policy management.
* Medicare/Medicaid claims experience a plus
* CPC Certification a plus
