This is not a contract position. This is a full time position.
This position may be in any Anthem location; preferably Virginia Beach, VA or work at home.
Responsible for developing and executing more complex data mining analyses.
Viewed as an expert in the development and execution of data mining analyses. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
* Undertakes complex assignments requiring additional specialized technical knowledge.
* Develops very complex and varied strategic applications from a Data Warehouse.
* Establishes and communicates common goal and direction for team.
* Establishes and maintains advanced knowledge of data warehouse database design, data definitions, system capabilities, and data integrity issues.
* Acts as a source of direction, training and guidance for less experienced staff.
* Monitors project schedules and costs for own and other projects.
* Develops and supports very complex Data Warehouse-related applications for business areas requiring design and implementation of database tables.
* Conducts training on use of applications developed.

* BS/BA degree;
* 6 years related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
* Expert level PC, spreadsheet, and database skills, as well as experience in standard Business Information tools and programming/query languages is also required.
* Ability to communicate effectively with multiple levels.
Experience must include the following:
* 2 years’ experience with Business Intelligence Development Studio 2008 R2 or higher platform or Visual Studio is required.
* Requires excellent communication skills, project, management/implementation, interpersonal and organizational skills.
* Requires strong data analysis and troubleshooting skills.
* 2 years’ experience with ETL is preferred.
* Multi database, multi-language and multi business application is preferred.
* Ability to communicate effectively with multiple levels within the organization.
* Sense of urgency and desire to learn are critical.
* 1-3 years of experience in .Net C# development using 3.0 – 4.0 Framework.
* 1-3 years of experience in Web application development using ASP.Net and Java Script.
* Experience with SQL Server database creating objects and scripts.
* Experience with SSIS and Reporting Services(SSRS) a plus.
