Anthem has a highly skilled and versatile internal consulting team that partners with business leaders to understand, improve and objectively solve complex, cross cutting challenges; execute upon strategy and implement high value initiatives; and build new business and cultural capabilities to achieve Anthem’s vision, values, and objectives.

The Business Improvement Consultant Sr. on this team addresses key priority engagements that enable the company to execute on its strategy and achieve its objectives. Engaging Consultant Sr.’s with healthcare experience in the payor and / or provider domain in areas including medical management, clinical program strategy, clinical quality management, cost containment, and provider collaboration allows for more targeted consulting leadership.

Successful Business Improvement Consultant Sr. candidates will need to demonstrate a blend of talents and skills including:

* Leadership of high priority, medium-sized projects
* Experience to lead process improvement, strategy development and organizational design initiatives
* Strong execution skills
* Change leadership
* Relationship management at all levels within the organization
* Strong business acumen
* Excellent cost-benefit analysis skills

* Advanced decision making through data driven analysis

The Business Improvement Consultant Sr. candidate will typically have:

* BA/BS, RN, PharmD., or medical informatics degree preferred.
* 5-7 years experience in management consulting, change management, large scale project management and/or process improvement leadership (or combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background).
* Healthcare experience (required).
* Six Sigma Black Belt Certification or Lean Masters certification (preferred; but not required).
* Project Management Professional (PMP) or formal project management training (preferred; but not required)
* Excellent computer skills, demonstrating fluency with all key packages.
* Ability to travel up to 25-50% of the time (varies based on project assignment).
