We are seeking a Professional Practice Leader, Speech-Language Pathology to provide clinical leadership and day-to-day operational management to Speech-Language Pathologists in Oliver, Penticton, Summerland and Kelowna. You will be part of a dedicated team of professionals and have the opportunity to flourish under the mentorship of accomplished leaders, managers, educators and internationally-recognized health experts.
Based at Kelowna Health Centre, the Professional Practice Leader, Speech-Language Pathology is responsible for:
• Carrying a minimal caseload that consists of a client population birth to school entry.
• Supervising and providing clinical leadership to six Speech-Language Pathologists.
• Learning the Provincial Early Hearing Program and becoming a designated service provider.
• Workload management, scheduling, and liaison with other managers and program leads.
• Ensuring standards for Speech-Language Pathology are consistent with regulatory, accrediting body standards and relevant legislation.
• Advising the Allied Health Director on professional practice issues
• Administration and planning of the Speech-Language Pathology services.
