Are you a Systems Engineer with a passion for the financial industry?  The Gladiator Network System team is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our hosted solutions group.Gladiator is known for providing all of its Jack Henry branded clients with top tier network, system and cloud technologies as well as an excellent customer experience.  We are looking for individuals who are self-motivated and love to work closely with our clients and develop strong relationships with their team members. This position is open to being filled out of Allen, TX / Springfield, MO / Monett, MO / Lenexa, KS and or Remote.

The Senior Systems Engineer will be the Team Lead and be required to execute specific tasks to successfully implement Jack Henry’s hosted network solutions or provide network solutions within the customers’ environment.   For customer installations, the systems engineer provides leadership by supporting the pre, current or post sales installation environment and is involved in all phases of the installation project ( design, implement, test and deploy). You will be a part of a distributed team of 12 Systems Engineers that sit across various Jack Henry locations.

The Systems Engineer, must be able and adapt well to new environments and technologies and be able to assist team members in doing the same.  The right candidate will be highly organized, self-motivated, have superior technical skills, a strong understanding of Cloud Technologies and an overall strong ability to creatively solve problems. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in Systems Engineering.

Must have a minimum of 5 years experience as a Systems Engineer in the financial institution industry.

Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Team Lead in a Network Implementation or Network Support Environment.

Must have experience in configuration, implementation and support with each of the following that are listed: Physical host servers and virtual servers (VMware vSphere 4.x or higher) / VMware VIEW / Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) / Windows server 2008 and newer /  Storage Area Networks (SAN) and storage devices.

Must be able to travel up to 50% for onsite implementations, consultations and sales support.

PREFERRED SKILLS

Bachelor’s degree is preferred

Citrix experience is preferred.

Dell EqualLogic SAN experience is preferred.

Dell Server experience is preferred.

Experience with iSCSI storage network is preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responsible for designing, implementing and supporting virtual network environments with SAN storage devices and Windows servers.

Responsible for customer facing communication and leading / overseeing a team of engineers assisting with complex and diverse implementation projects.

Communicates implementation plans and support procedures effectively to both peers and clients.

Responsible for working with direct manager and team on special assignments to improve processes.

Use a breadth of IT knowledge in order to successfully integrate a newly implemented network solution into a customer’s existing IT environment and resolve resulting issues.

Installs current network operating system on new or existing network devices and/or installs communication equipment including routers, switches and firewalls

Installs software on networking devices.

Provides phone support to employees or customers relative to networking technology.

Analyzes network topologies to determine potential issues and makes suggestions for recommended changes.

Assists with the preparation of network assessments and certifications.

Installs current network operating server software on new or existing server-class hardware and/or installs communication equipment including routers, terminal servers, switches and firewalls.

Installs supporting applications and peripherals on the above mentioned servers including tape backup hardware and software, email software, anti-virus software, etc. and/or implement technologies.

Installs user workstation hardware, operating software and various application software and/or pre-configured equipment.

Configures user IDs and customer-specific settings on servers and transfers data from the old environment to the new environment.

Corresponds with customer and other divisions within the company to insure all customer concerns and issues are resolved in a timely manner.

Assists Sales by analyzing customer requirements and recommending appropriate products and services.

Prepares statements of work relative to upcoming network installations and general preparations for installations.
