The Gladiator MITS Product Team of ProfitStars is known for providing top tier network and system monitoring and remediation services for our clients. The Gladiator MITS team is an industry leader in managed services and is made up of 16 engineers who perform services ranging from Help Desk support and patch management to system reviews and IT consultations. Travel would be up to 5% based on business needs for training and conferences.  Position to be filled in Springfield, MO, and candidate will be expected to work out of the Jack Henry office at the Blackman Road location.

The ideal candidate will be viewed as a consultant that will provide extensive system reviews to external clients and discuss trends and general health observations within their environment. These meetings will focus on historical trends, current observations, and involve discussions regarding future plans and recommendations to align the customer’s IT environment with their business goals. You will be responsible for implementing and supporting these system changes. Additional tasks performed by this candidate will include system firmware and software updates and assist in scheduled site recovery tests. Candidate will also serve as an escalation point for MITS support cases and will be expected to participate in an after-hours call rotation.

The Systems / Network Engineer will primarily support VMware Infrastructure, Microsoft Windows server, Storage devices and SAN infrastructure including Cisco routing equipment.Software experience required will focus on Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, backup technologies such as Veeam and Rapid Recovery.We are looking for individuals who are self-motivated and love to work closely with clients and develop strong relationships with their team members. This candidate should also have excellent verbal and written communication skills with a high attention to detail. This candidate will be expected to manage and implement projects with minimal supervision and stay on task with multiple projects and deadlines at any one time. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering.

Must have experience with any of the following: configuration, implementation and support with Physical host servers and virtual servers (VMware Vsphere 4.x or higher).

Must have experience with Windows server 2008 and newer.

Must have experience with Storage Area Networks (SAN) and storage devices.

PREFERRED SKILLS

Associates degree is preferred

Experience in disaster recovery or site recovery design and testing is preferred.

VMware VCP, Microsoft MCSE or MCITP certifications are preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Correspond with customers and other divisions within the company to ensure all customer concerns and issues are resolved in a timely manner

Analyze system topologies to determine potential issues and makes suggestions for recommended changes

Evaluate and perform system software and firmware updates as needed for customers on an annual basis

Work to coordinate and complete site recovery tests for customers in relation to their DR plan

Perform install validations and periodic contract reviews to ensure environments are current

Work with other internal groups to ensure quality-of-service is maintained

Serve as an escalation point for MITS related support cases

Participate in an after-hours call rotation to provide support to customers when critical issues arise

Work with various MSP software products in relation to support, troubleshooting, and special projects
