SUMMARY
Jack Henry and Associates is looking for a technical person with strong communication skills to join the ImageCenter Education team and it's open to being filled Remote or in Northville, MI / Allen, TX / Brentwood, TN / and or Troy, MI. As the Applications Trainer, you will deliver training to technical and non-technical individuals so the ability to alternate and adjust communication styles is a must. Be an ambitious, self-directed and organized motivator who is well-versed working in various server environments, including VDI, and experienced on topics related to software installations, QA testing processes, SQL databases, networking and server security and permissions.
The ImageCenter software is a client-server based check-imaging platform that changes the standard check processes by converting paper checks into digital images to be handled electronically. Training will be delivered at the Northville office, via WebEx or at various client sites throughout the United States. Be able to appreciate the opportunity to travel as travel to client sites is required and can be up to 75% based on business needs and can very month to month depending on projects. Sessions have a typical duration of three days and travel occurs on Mondays and Fridays of that same week. Overnight stay is required and on occasion where training sessions have a different duration, weekend travel will be necessary.
Be able to lead, take initiatives, work with strong personalities, follow directions and support defined objectives. Have the ability to understand all aspects of business needs and requirements as it relates to the financial industry, and be capable in providing consultation services and direction to clients and internal team members. Ability to document processes and develop training manuals and other educational materials is a necessity. ImageCenter Education is a structured, high producing, revenue generating department. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a minimum of 18 months experience in software application training, support or installation.
Must have a minimum of 18 months experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook and PowerPoint) are required.
Must be able to travel up to 75% to customer locations (US or international) to deliver training; frequency will vary based on business needs.
Must have excellent verbal communication and public speaking skills.
PREFERRED SKILLS
Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Experience with computer networking and database concepts is preferred.
Knowledge of the financial industry is preferred.
Microsoft SQL experience is preferred.
Ability to communicate technical terms with internal and external IT individuals such as developers and network support staff is preferred.
Experience working in and providing technical support for virtual environments is preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Conducts business and technical training needs assessment by collecting information pertaining to work procedures, work flow, and reports; understanding job-specific functions and tasks.
Delivers training sessions to technical and non-technical audiences using effective methods such as classroom training and lectures, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, teleconferences, workshops, laboratory sessions, and online virtual classroom tools, such as WebEx.
Arranges and prepares selected training materials (binders, handouts, class files, presentation materials, visuals, software CDs, exercises, etc.) for use during live and web-based training sessions.
Provide support and technical maintenance for the training room, training server and training virtual machines. Troubleshoot and debug training environment issues prior to, during, and after sessions.
Perform installation processes at training lab and client sites for onsite sessions. Tests and maintains software for training purposes.
Works with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), instructional designers, and customers to prepare lesson plans using various materials including, but not limited to: engineering documentation, field service requirements, and software documentation.
Works with technical support to ensure that course material and content reflects current product features, and updates materials based on current product features.
Participates in the installation, testing, maintenance and distribution of the training environment.
Develops and organizes training manuals, visual aids, and other educational materials.
Prioritizes tasks and documents problems.
Keeps informed of most recent industry trends.
