Without wasting time further, let us know what is NEET and how to apply for the same. In my subsequent  blog post titled: NEET UG Exam Pattern Sample Papers Books, I have posted the prep materials for the first ever NEET-UG exam.

What is NEET-UG;

NEET (National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test)-UG (Under Graduate) is the national-level common MBBS entrance test, which is set to replace all individual MBBS entrance exams, which are being organized individually by each state/medical college. NEET-UG would also replace AIPMT, which till this year was a national level medical entrance test for MBBS courses. However, MBBS entrance exam for AIIMS & JIPMER are still going to be held independently i.e. these two institutes are not participating in the NEET-UG 2013.

If you are an engineering aspirant, you must have known that just like NEET has replaced AIPMT and many others, JEE (Main) is also going to replace AIEEE and many other engineering entrance exams. You can know more about it in my previous blog article titled: JEE 2013 Notification, Forms & Eligibility.

CBSE is going to conduct NEET-UG and this is the official website of NEET UG.
