ABSTRACT:
The axiom ‘marriages are made in heaven’ is common among people. Marriage is a part of human life and makes it more meaningful. In the course of marriage, everybody dreams of getting a spouse who matches them psychologically and according to their customs. Global Matrim is software which stores prospective brides and bride grooms information belonging to various countries and enable them to search for any compatible match.
The administrator of this software will be able to add or view various new services like providing information of pujaris (shastrigal), video-graphers, function halls, astrologers etc., He can also delete or edit a service in the site.
A user of the software will be able to log in to the site and then provide his complete details like the name, email address, contact number, living country, etc. He or she can provide basic information like expected age of the bride/groom, qualification, hobbies and job etc., There are options to specify the religion and social status and whether a mangalik is also acceptable or not. The physical appearance can be specified along with storing one’s photo in the form of .jpg or .gif file into the database.
The user once registered with the application will be able to search for the bride/groom depending on different criteria. For example, he or she can search for a bride / groom from a particular country or religion and specifically mangalik or not and born in a particular star. It is also possible to search for those brides /grooms who have photos and who do not have photos at the moment. The searching capability of this software is very powerful and offers the real assistance expected by the users.
The users can update their profiles and change their information. They can also place new photos and qualifications etc, at any time.
The attraction of this software lies in the fact that it offers assistance on a wide variety of fields by providing information on Apparels, Astrology, Beauticians, Caterers, Invitations, Mandaps, Jewelers, Florists, Sastrigal, video and photo people, tours and traveling agents, etc.. Modules
The System after careful analysis has been identified to present with the following modules.
Admin Module:
This module deals with the functionalities of administrator that includes addition or deletion or modification of details of services like Apparels, Astrology, Beauticians, Caterers, Invitations, Mandaps, Jewelers, Florists, Sastrigal, Video/Photos, Tours & Travels etc. This module is responsible for searching the profiles. In this the user can view the details of the profiles. The user can provide the feedback for visibility in the home page. In this module, the user can add the services which are provided for the every user. This module will help to add the new services, update and delete the services for the users.
Profiles Module:
This module deals with the most crucial part of the tool that includes the following functionalities

Interface to update the details in profile as well as to upload new photograph.
Interface to block his/her profile by deleting it from the database.
Using this module the user can easily search the required details. All the registered user’s profiles will be placed in this module. Every registered user can view/ update or delete the own details. This module will helps the user to search for the matched profiles. This will helps the user to block his profile.
Matrimonial Services Module:
This module deals with functionalities related to matrimonial services. This module includes services menu, Interface to view the information of existing services. Also provides interface to edit/delete the existing service by administrator. This module includes all the details of matrimonial services like Apparels, Astrology, Beauticians, Caterers, Invitations, Mandaps, Jewellers, Florists, Sastrigal, Video/Photo and Tours & Travels. Every user can use the services which mentioned in the above. Only the admin user can add the details of all the matrimonial services. Also the admin user can update or delete the details of all the matrimonial services.
Misc Services:
This module deals with Testimonials interface, where in users can provide testimonials and view the existing testimonials. This module also provides facility for the users to know their moon sign and birth star. All the users can provide the testimonials, and every user can view the details of all the testimonials which are provided by the users will be displayed in the home page. If any of the user wants check the moon sign then he can directly click the button “Moon Sign-Star”, and get the information related to his moon sign.
