Emirates Flight Catering (EKFC) part of the Emirates Group is the world’s largest in-flight catering operation providing in-flight catering and support services for airlines from Dubai International Airport. With a workforce of over 8700 multinational employees and four work sites, EKFC has a clientele of 120 airlines and airline hospitality lounges in Dubai International Airport as well as running a large off airport Food and Beverage business.Emirates flight catering was formed out of Emirates Abela Catering Company in 2003 and now produces more than 26 million meals per year and has a fleet of 100 high loader trucks, including a special vehicle for the Airbus A380.
Emirates Flight Catering employs 5,400 staff and provides in-flight catering and support services for airlines at Dubai International Airport.In July 2005, EKFC began operations at its new food point facility – a 10,000 square metre facility capable of producing 30 million meals annually.Emirates Flight Catering employs over 8,000 staff and provides catering and ancillary services to airlines operating at this busy international hub. In 2012 the company provided almost 47.5 million meals, and is on track to produce over 53.0 million meals in 2013. Currently, the daily average catering uplift is 145,000 meals to 360 flights.
