Surely if were ever going to do a free entry match (which we never ever would or should) the last match of the season when we have to win to stay up would be the strangest possible time.

If having a bumper crowd became the 12th man that contributed to us staying up then would it be worth it financially? That was my question about the revenue value of being in the NL vs NLSouth.

Maybe £10 is the answer. Maybe leave it at £18 and hope for 2,000 as someone else has said. And no, I'm not advocating for free season tickets, or continual free entry. I'm just interested in comparing the 2 values. If we can have a huge crowd and continue to charge £18 then brilliant. But that doesn't seem to be happening. Its been a long long time since we were averaging 3,000 a match and we've had some ok seasons in recent times.

I actually have a theory that the club needs to get a lot more data about those who attend. Then they can market directly to the necessary segments with the right kind of incentives (rather than a blanket promotion) and pitch to the right sponsorship opportunities. Data is key. But that's a long and complicated journey (and I've gone off on a tangent - apologies).
