New Bajaj Pulsar 150NS launch is expected to happen next month. New engine with 17 PS of max. power

The new Bajaj Pulsar 150NS has been showcased abroad and one of the images that we have here reveals a rather interesting detail about the soon-to-be-launched motorcycle! As can be seen in this image, the bike is being touted simply as the Bajaj Pulsar 150, which is in a stark contrast to the earlier rumours of this bike being called as the Pulsar 160NS. Furthermore, the recently leaked spec sheet quashes all the rumours of the new model’s 160cc heart. However, here in India, there are good chances that the upcoming bike will be known as the Pulsar 150 NS. Also, the latest images almost totally reveal the upcoming model. Other than sharing a plenty of body panels with the 200NS, the motorcycle also gets a 200NS-like two-tone paint job. The new Bajaj Pulsar 150NS launch is said to be around the corner and here, in this report, we have all the available info on the new Bajaj Pulsar 150NS.

Bajaj Pulsar 150 NS Engine And Specifications

Powering the Pulsar 150NS is a 149.5cc, 4-valve single cylinder engine that pushes out a maximum power of 17PS, which is the highest any motorcycle enjoys in its segment. To put things in perspective, the very competent Yamaha R15, which is hugely capable track machine, too enjoys similar power figure. The torque, however, is bit on the lower side at 13Nm. Kerb weight could be around 144 kgs.

Design and  Styling

In terms of design and styling, the new 2015 Pulsar 150 NS looks pretty aggressive and bold. There are larger cowls on the fuel tank which give it the sporty and masculine styling. The engine has been blackened all along with black alloy wheels which gives it the rugged styling that Pulsars are popular for. The front gets dual hydraulic telescopic suspension while the rear gets a mono-shock suspension for superior handling. There are split seats with large seating area for comfortable ride. The grab handles behind the pillion seat are horn shaped taking the masculine design bit more further. There are sharp rear and front turn indicators finished in sharp and clear styling. The rear mud-guard extents much behind the tail lamp and houses a reflector and license plate. The tail lamps are familiar split lamps that we see on present generation of the Pulsars.

The fuel lid on the tank also seems inspired by the Pulsar 200 NS with a similar Aluminum finish aircraft-type lid. Move to instrument cluster and it reminds you clearly of the Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS. It sports a large analogue tachometer, a digital speedometer with fuel and temperature gauge, also houses some warning lamps and trip meters, odo-meters build it. The handle bar is also sporty and has clip on-style handle bars. The drive chain is not covered from bottom and only covered from top which has been done to give it a more stylish visual appeal. The side foot-pegs and levers are finished in Aluminum for premium and sporty look.
