Central District murder arrest: Police have made an arrest in the 2008 murder of 15-year-old gang member Quincy Coleman, the Central District News reports. D'Angelo Saloy, 20, was arrested Monday morning on suspicion of the crime, according to police. Police believe Saloy, also a juvenile at the time of the killing, gunned down Coleman on Halloween night 2008 near Garfield High School.
12th and Jefferson mugging: A security bulletin sent around Seattle U's campus Tuesday morning documents an early morning mugging near the school:
Early this morning, at approximately 3:45 am, September 18th, Seattle University Department of Public Safety monitored Seattle Police Officers response to a reported strong-arm robbery. The incident occurred at the southwest corner of 12th & E. Jefferson, across the street from the campus. The male victim, who is not affiliated with the university, reported to police that two unknown males approached him and knocked him to the ground, and stole his wallet. Both suspects then ran from the scene. The victim described the suspects as each being black males; with medium size builds and each wearing dark clothing.
Responding Seattle Police officers searched the area and no persons matching the suspect’s descriptions were located.
No medics were dispatched to the scene so it sounds like there were no injuries.
Rumor of arrest in Yancy Noll case quashed: A flurry of reports from people following the situation spread through social media last week that a suspect in the Yancy Noll murder case had been taken into custody after a silver BMW matching the suspect car's description was pulled over in an I-5 traffic stop. But authorities said the 911 caller's alert netted the wrong man.
Indecent exposure: TV news wasn't so interested in this gunpoint robbery in Cal Anderson last Tuesday night or the increased emphasis patrols at the park. But they were all over this item posted to the SPD blotter Friday afternoon about an incident involving a man exposing himself at the park's Bobby Morris playfield during a kids soccer game.

East Precinct officers arrested a sex offender on Capitol Hill Thursday evening after the man exposed himself to a group of children playing soccer in Cal Anderson Park.
Around 8:50 pm, police got several calls about a man standing next to a soccer goal in the park, grabbing his genitals and yelling obscenities at children on the soccer field.
The man then dropped his pants, flashing his g-string underwear.
Officers arrived and spoke with the man, who told officers he was “just dancing,” and claimed he hadn’t done anything wrong.
Not buying the man’s story, officers arrested him, and discovered the man has a prior conviction for indecent exposure.
