More on E Republican attack: The victim in this bloody E Republican attack CHS reported last week talked to a TV news crew about the assault. Victim Jon Rodda and his friend Amy Harris told the TV crew that they believe the incident was a random attack perpetrated by an "opportunist." Harris last week told CHS the two men mentioned in the police report and again in this most recent coverage should not be suspects. "The two men that are described as the last people he was seen with are friends of his. He left the club before they did," Harris wrote in an email to CHS. "The officer at the scene asked me the last time that I had seen Jon and it was when he was at R Place with them; that is why they are described as the last people seen with him. I hate how it appears in the report as if we think they are involved in the attack - nothing could be further from the truth." If you have additional information on the assault, call 911 or the SPD tip line at (206) 233-5000.
