ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif Monday presided over a consultative meeting at Prime Minister House wherein he discussed MQM chief Altaf Hussain’s recent speech against the armed forces with army chief General Raheel Sharif, Capital TV reported.
The meeting was also attended by DG ISI Major General Rizwan Akhtar, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and Interior Minister Chaurdhry Nisar Ali Khan.
In the meeting Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan briefed the PM and army chief over the speech and political situation arising from the development.
Sources said the top military officials briefed the PM about gains in the ongoing Zarb-e-Azb operation, crackdown against criminals and militants in different cities and peace talks with Taliban in Afghanistan. (Web Desk)
