Adria Australia’s award-winning 2015 range of caravans are continuing to impress buyers seeking lightweight caravans with beautiful styling and strong construction. Imported and wholesaled Australia-wide by the Apollo Group since 2014, Adria has a solid history in the Australian market, first introduced into Australia in 2007, now with a network of dealers and service providers around Australia . A loyal Adria-owners club regularly meets, joining up new friends and fans of the brand across the nation.

Manufactured in Slovenia since 1965, Adria was introduced to Australia to capitalise on a demand for lightweight yet robust caravans which would suit Australian driving conditions. Melbourne and European RV’s Adria Australia expert Scott Webster says the high cost of fuel and the expense of 4WDs mean heavier Australian-built caravans are out of reach for many would-be travellers. Meanwhile, lightweight caravans have traditionally held a ‘premium’ price tag.

Adria has changed all this, says Mr Webster, with lightweight fibreglass construction offering incredible style, and towability from a huge range of vehicles including Mitsubishi Triton, Holden Colorado, Isuzu D-MAX, Toyotal Hilux, Nissan Patrol, not just heavy duty 4WDs. And all at around $50,000 on  the road for most 2-4 berth models.

“Adria really holds a unique place in the market – there is nothing comparable in terms of modern look, gorgeous interior, lightweight construction and strength for long term travel,” Mr Webster says. “You won’t find a comparable caravan range which offers better fuel conservation,” he says. Highlights of Adria’s construction include the strong AL-KO chassis – recognised to be one of the world’s best – and customised to suit Australian road conditions. They also include as standard the anti-sway coupling which eliminates the need for additional stabiliser bars.

Adria Australia’s ADORA and ALTEA caravan ranges are immediately recognisable for their rooftop skylights, which allow exceptional light into the interior, and can be managed with insect screens and blinds to reduce light or heat at various times. According to Mr Webster, another unique feature of Adria caravans is the high level of insulation and double walls which act as a moisture and temperature barrier behind the interior furniture and cabinetry. “The layouts and the superior ventilation in Adria caravans is exceptional, and really shows the long years of product development which the brand offers,” Mr Webster says. Adria Australia are promoting two new modified caravan models – the semi off-road ALTEA 552UP and an ADORA 612 PT with a slide-out panel.

Business Development Manager Richie Fort said Apollo had responded to the huge demand for semi off-road travel, upgrading a 4-berth Adria ALTEA 552UP Sport with a higher wheel base to clear unpaved and uneven terrain, and installing chequer plating around the base to ward off stones and protect the caravan exterior from damage when travelling. The Adria ADORA 612 PT is one of Adria’s most popular models and is now available with a slide out panel which extends the dinette area at the push of a button.

The ALTEA and ADORA models have already won national awards including Caravan of the Year and commendation for their innovative designs at the European Innovation Awards. To further show their commitment to quality Adria has announced that the 2016 range of Caravans will now come with an additional 2 Years Water Ingress Warranty as standard, now 7 years in total.

The Apollo Group, is one of the world’s largest privately owned leisure vehicle operator and largest RV rental fleet operator in Australia, is the official the distributor of ADRIA RV products in Australia and New Zealand. The entire Australian ADRIA range can be seen through ADRIA’s national network of dealers, available on the ADRIA Australia website.
