For 2017, Yamaha has reimagined its entire 21-foot boat line from the ground up to include the luxurious Yamaha 212 Limited S, the 212 Limited, and watersports-driven 212X.

The 212 Series now has more in common with Yamaha’s flagship 24-foot models than it does with its predecessor. The new deck and hull design provides more space, more features, updated looks, more storage and improved handling. And new to Yamaha 21-foot models is the award-winning Connext helm control system with 7” touchscreen and joystick control.

The difference between these high-end models is the 212 Limited S includes a forward-swept aluminum watersports tower that is not included on the 212 Limited, and the 212X is designed for watersports action with its 1100lbs triple ballast system, board racks, oversized billet aluminum rear view mirror, and a premium sound system that includes a tower-mounted sound bar, subwoofer, 500-watt amp, and six Polk® audio mid-range speakers.

Premium Deck Features

Beginning at the bow, the high bow lines create a comfortable, spacious seating area for passengers big and small. Within the custom bow inserts are courtesy lights like that on

Yamaha’s 24-foot models. The anchor locker/bow ladder compartment is larger allowing the anchor to be deployed without any interference from the reboarding ladder.

Completing the bow on the 212 Limited S and Limited models are upgraded, premium stainless steel handrails, chrome plated cup holders, and premium marine vinyl seating that is hinged to make access to the expansive under-the-seat storage more convenient. There are also two great sounding speakers. The 212X features billeted, aluminum handrails and accents. All three models feature upgraded teak-style removable mats that carry through from the bow to the stern.

Moving into the cockpit, there are dual Captain’s Chairs. The port-side chair reclines with self-leveling arm rests and 180-degree swivel action to observe watersports.

In front of the port-side chair is an entertainment console that features three storage areas, a lockable glove compartment, and a versatile netted storage on the port side for coolers, a garbage bin, or gear bags. The entertainment console also features a fold down host table, and beverage center that is perfect for serving drinks and food.

Also on the port side is an expansive storage compartment with a large solid, wide-opening door for easy access to coolers and other gear

Connext Helm Control System with 7” Touchscreen

The refined helm layout now includes Yamaha’s award-winning Connext helm control system and joystick. The joystick control is exclusive to the 212 Series and Yamaha’s 24-foot boats.

Connext provides critical information such as water depth, fuel gauge, RPM, compass heading and miles per hour. Scrolling functions provide access to important, but less frequented information, including maximum speed attained, miles per gallon, gallons per hour, average speed, trip odometer, elevation and engine temperature.

Connext also serves as the entertainment hub of the boat, providing full access to radio and stereo controls, satellite radio, Bluetooth® connectivity and USB connections. The Connext joystick control provides additional quick access controls for top level Connext navigation including Home, Scrolling and Volume as well as access to Yamaha’s Cruise Assist™ and No Wake Mode™.

When anchored, Connext automatically goes into “float mode,” displaying pertinent information such as voltage meter and water depth. If the system detects low battery

voltage, an audible alarm will sound indicating that the driver should start the engines to recharge the battery. Best of all, using the bright 7” touchscreen alone or with the joystick is super convenient and intuitive.

Yamaha Quiet Cruise

One of the best benefits that come with the new deck and hull design is the integration of Yamaha’s Quiet Cruise, a ground up, platform-based system of sound dampening that creates a quiet, comfortable ride for all on board. Yamaha Quiet Cruise reduces the amount of engine noise and vibration that enters the cabin at all speeds.

Yamaha’s Signature Stern Lounge Area

The new two-tier stern lounge area and swim platform of the 212 Series is more spacious and functional than ever, making the stern area a great place to hang out when anchored in your favorite cove or stage for watersports. The stern lounge area includes a mount for the padded 212’s dinette table, a rear stereo remote, padded back rests, teak-style Marine Mat deck mats, cup holders and a reboarding ladder.

There’s even a wet storage locker where wet ropes or small inflatables can be stored without having to carry them through the boat

Yamaha’s Award-Winning Articulating Keel

Under the water line is the addition of Yamaha’s award-winning Articulating Keel that is now included on all Yamaha 21-foot boats.

The Articulating Keel is a simple yet ingenious mechanism that serves as an extension of the boat’s keel but with a trailing component that moves and tracks through the water in perfect relation to the jet pump nozzles. Steering response is immediate.

This patented advancement, combined with the other features in Yamaha’s Advanced Responsive Handling, makes straight line tracking at all speeds effortless and high speed cornering stability at speed is significantly enhanced, which improves the overall comfort of passengers.

Yamaha 1.8L High Output Engine Package

The 212 Series is powered by two 1.8L Yamaha High Output marine engines that deliver excellent performance, reliability, and durability. The 212 models outperform everything else in its category with its quick acceleration and class-leading time to plane.

All-new from the ground up, the Yamaha 212 Series offers high-end luxury features in an easy to tow, easy to store package. The 212 Limited S, 212 Limited and 212X takes the 21-foot runabout category to a new level of comfort and convenience not seen before in boating industry.
