Sacramento Kings

When Bryan Colangelo swung for the fences acquiring Rudy Gay in a last ditch effort to keep employed, most basketball observers scratched their heads wondering why the Toronto Raptors GM would want a mediocre NBA player and his $16-freaking-million a year in salary, with a $19-million player option for next season! We all know how that worked out for Colangelo, but now his replacement may be making the Sacramento Kings look even dumber by trading for the 27-year-old small forward. The Kings are probably in worse shape that than Raptors sitting 6-14 in the murderous west. The only thing this does is give the Raps a better chance than the Kings to suck for Wiggins. Gay won’t help a team get to a championship, but he might just pull them out of the muck a bit higher than drowning level.

Are you ready for @rudygay22's Kings debut tonight in Phoenix? #ForeverPurple http://t.co/3oLyFBlDYH—

Rogers Sportsnet

When Toronto Maple Leafs fans heard the the HBO 24/7 cameras were going to be peering into the private lives of Phil Kessel, Joffrey Lupul and Dion Phaneuf, little squeals of joy emanated from excited mouths. Now Leafs fans can watch the team prepare for an epic Original Six battle in what will be the largest ever audience for a hockey game in the The Big House in Michigan on New Year’s Day.

Will we hear the F bombs dropping from coach Randy Carlyle’s mouth, like Doug Ford dropping $20 bills at a housing complex? Sadly, those bombs will not be heard by sensitive Canadian hockey fans because Rogers F#$%ing Sportsnet bought the Canadian rights (along with everything else NHL) and promises to bleep out the cuss words. Oh Fudge says the average fan, only we didn’t say Fudge!

Thanks sportsnet for making sure we can't watch 24/7 on hbo and only on your network when it's a day late and censored #sweet #pissed—

Rather watch nhl 24/7 on HBO because sportsnet will beep out all swearing and that's not fun.—

Internet, I'm looking to you for some top notch 24/7 torrents from HBO. I'm convinced Sportsnet is going to ruin it. Showing it a day later—

James Neal and Shawn Thornton

James Neal kneeing Brad Marchand.

After a period of relative calm, the knuckle draggers in NHL hockey oozed out of the manure. During a Saturday night match in Boston, Pittsburgh Penguins James Neal actually kneed Boston Bruins Brad Marchand in the head! (When was the last time that ever happened? Not even in the bad old days of Toe Blake and Dit Clapper!) Seeing red, Shawn Thornton then took it all one step further and started to repeatedly pummel Brooks Orpik in the face until he became unconscious. Oh boy, the dumbassery of vicious hockey rears its oh so ugly skull.

As it turns out, neither James Neal nor Shawn Thornton intended to disgrace hockey tonight. Yet they did! So crazy. Anyway, harm, no foul.—

Both Neal and Thornton should be suspended. Thats not hockey.—

Two dirty plays right there. Neal's knee to Marchand while he's down and Thornton literally KO'ing Orpik during the stoppage. #Bruins #Pens—

THIS IS HOCKEY? Brooks Orpik after getting clobbered by Shawn Thornton.

Washington Redskins

Forget about the racist nickname, this time the Washington dumbass move is on the football field as the team lurches back and forth between throwing QB Robert Griffin III to the lions (or Falcons on Sunday) and benching him in favour of fully healthy Kirk Cousins.

I’M BEHIND GROSSMAN? Robert Griffin III during practice Dec. 11, 2013 in Ashburn, Va.

All week long, stories have come out that RGIII is in, he is out, he is in, etc. So finally, coach Mike Shanahan puts and end to the speculation announcing the starter is now out for the rest of the season. Finally, someone displayed a little sanity in dealing with the ultra-talented but still raw QB of the future, sitting him for his own good. Too bad it will cost the coach his job though, but there is no bigger dumbass then Daniel Snyder.

I wish the Redskins players would kick the coaching staff out of the locker room. Like the players did in the movie Varsity Blues.—
