The School of Kinesiology at the University of Michigan invites applications and nominations for an open rank faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor of neuroscience under the Kinesiology umbrella. Specific areas of interest include, but are not limited to brain function and plasticity; neuromotor control and learning; physical activity, injury, disability, and/or rehabilitation. We will consider applications from individuals conducting relevant research across all stages of life. The successful candidate is expected to maintain extramural funding that sustains a robust, ongoing research program. The candidate is also expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses and have research expertise appropriate for the effective mentoring of trainees at the undergraduate, doctoral and post-doctoral levels.
The School of Kinesiology (www.kines.umich.edu) is one of 19 independent academic units and one of seven health science schools and colleges within the University of Michigan. Home to one of the leading PhD programs in the United States focusing on the unique and interdisciplinary study of human movement, the School has approximately 30 tenure-line faculty and over 1000 students.

Required Qualifications
Candidates considered at the level of Assistant Professor will have demonstrated high quality/high impact scientific publications and the potential to secure extramural research funding, mentor graduate students, and teach within Kinesiology. At the rank of Associate Professor or Professor, the successful candidate will also have demonstrated a consistent and ongoing record of securing extramural research funding, and will have experience and skill in providing leadership that will advance the scholarly excellence of the School of Kinesiology.
Candidates must possess an earned doctorate in kinesiology or similar field. Post-doctoral or prior faculty experience is preferred.
