Allstate presents the HBC-I-Owe-U Program (Quote and Vote below)

The HBC-I-Owe-U program is the latest chapter in the Allstate Quotes for Education initiative, which was established in 2009 as a way to provide financial support for students of historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs).

When the initiative’s 2014 goals are met, Allstate will have donated more than half a million dollars in scholarships for HBCU students over the past six years and contributed an additional $150,000 to institutions that have won voting challenges.

It’s easy to participate, and does not require a purchase of any kind. All you need to do is get an insurance quote from an Allstate Agent or online, and Allstate will donate $10 to the Tom Joyner Foundation in support of HBCU students, up to $200,000. Getting an “insurance quote” just means having an agent price an insurance policy for you.

In addition to quoting with Allstate to help raise money for HBCUs, you can also vote for your favorite HBCU to win a $50,000 donation to its scholarship fund. You can vote every day until this year’s program ends on November 30, 2014

We all owe a special debt of gratitude to historically black colleges and universities for providing pathways to success for young African-Americans. Thank you for participating in HBC-I-Owe-U, and for doing your part to help keep HBCUs strong for generations to come
