VCCP has wrapped up its first year in the Australian market by announcing a number of new business wins, new creative hires and a move to a new office space.

In the creative department, Karen Ferry joins as a senior copywriter. Previously from the Monkeys and DDB, Ferry has been awarded at Cannes, CLIO, AWARD, The Caxtons, The Effie Awards, the London International Awards and FWA. She partners with Emma Morton, a senior art director, who has previously worked at Kessels Kramer and LOVE Creative. During this time her work was recognised with a D&AD in-book, and was awarded at Cannes, the New York Festivals, and as Emerging Designer of the Year at the Roses Design Awards.

Also joining the creative department is Nick Cole, fresh from a top 3
finish at AWARD. He has partnered with existing VCCP creative Jess Waal,
who also finished top 10 at AWARD. All the new hires will work with
Dean Hunt, creative director at VCCP.

Says Hunt: "We're very
happy to see the department grow, it's great to have new faces and new
energy. We're looking forward to our new starters making the agency
their own. All of them will be hugely influential in our growth. Emma
and Karen have an excellent pedigree and bring with them the sort of
smart yet gently off-centre approach we love. Nick and Jess are
talented, ambitious and ready to make a name for themselves. I wish them
all the best for 2014. I am equally happy to see the agency go from a
1-toilet to a 3-toilet agency."

The growth comes in conjunction
with a number of new business wins for the agency in the second half of
2013. Alongside Comparethemarket.com.au, VCCP is now working with
Ancestry.com.au, Bookworld, Tafe Western Sydney Institute,
StyleTread.com.au and Rollie Nation. A new campaign for another major
brand will also be announced in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, the
agency have moved to a new 400sqm warehouse space on Blackburn St in
Surry Hills, with sister Chime Communications agency Fast Track  - who
have also added 4 new team members to support their sports marketing
consultancy work with HSBC.

Says Peter Grenfell, VCCP managing
director: "Transforming the fortunes of our clients is what VCCP is all
about and we're proud of what we've achieved in 2013 - in a tough and
challenging market. Ultimately it's the people that make an agency so
I'm delighted to have fantastic new team members and a inspiring work
place that will set us up for a successful 2014."

This
successful first year in market for the agency continues the good news
for the group - with VCCP's UK office recently awarded the prestigious
Campaign Magazine "Agency of the Year" as well as "Campaign of the Year"
for O2's Be More Dog.
