CHINO HILLS, California (September 2, 2014) – Dan Everette Carey, 90, Pomona was killed in a car accident Sunday morning on Chino Hills Parkway at Eucalyptus Avenue, according to a press release by the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner.

About 9:05 a.m., Carey was driving his car southbound on Chino Hills Parkway when he entered the intersection and was broadsided by another motorist heading eastbound on Eucalyptus. Paramedics responded to the crash and transported Carey by ambulance to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center where he later died at 12:10 p.m.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff Department is heading up an investigation into the collision to determine liability.
