You know the names and the faces, but not like this. Eleven fitness powerhouses are joining forces to cause even more sweat in the Calgary community.

Known as The Sweat Bandits, the group is made up of badass ladies from studio’s around Calgary, collaborating to give back to the community.

Here’s the lineup:

Mallory Chapman: Owner and Instructor at Studio Revolution

Karleen Samson: Instructor at Studio Revolution and Sweat Lab

Jill Galarneau: Instructor at Studio Revolution and Sweat Lab

Libby Nimijean: Instructor at One Cycle and Barre Body Studio

Jennifer Mehalko: Instructor at Junction 9 and Union Athletica

Kate Mak: Instructor at Yoga Santosha, Junction 9 and Journey

Joanna Magik: Instructor at One Cycle and Owner of The Outsiders and Sweat Style

Ruth MacFarlane: Instructor at One Cycle

Kerby Bigornia: Instructor at Studio Revolution

Stef Brown: Instructor at Junction 9 and Hifi Yoga Club

Leah Lindsay: Oil and Grain Blog and Instructor at YYC Cycle

“We want people to experience different instructors they may have never had before due to the studio they are at, commute, cost of the class or whatever reason,” said The Sweat Bandits creator, Mallory Chapman. “They are all so talented in their own ways and we can’t wait for the rest of YYC to experience their magic!”

Though the Bandits may be all females, their sessions are open to everyone. Every Tuesday or Thursday (alternates each week) at 6:45 p.m. participants of all fitness levels will experience a one of a kind workout in various downtown locations without the restraints of walls. That’s right; they are taking it outside! Each week a different combination of Bandits will take you through a 30-minute cardio/strength circuit followed by a 30-minute yoga session. You’ll never experience the same workout twice since they’ll feature the flavor of each Bandit.

Hit up the bank machine before hand, as each session is $15, with 50% benefiting the charity of the month. For June, you’ll be supporting Brown Bagging for Calgary’s Kids. Also, make sure you pack your own mat, lots of water, sunscreen, mosquito spray and dumbbells if you have them.

For now The Sweat Bandits will meet at different locations throughout the downtown area – with the possibility of extending out of the core. Each week is different and the location is announced a couple of days before on Instagram.

It all goes down starting Tuesday, June 2 at 6:45 p.m. Show up at Scotsman Hill stairs overlooking the Stampede grounds to be put through the paces by your first group of Bandits: Mallory Chapman, Ruth Macfarlane and Jill Galarneau.
