I don't see how this is an issue in CakePHP. I'm assuming that
in all cases the HTTP responses are the same across various
browsers, so there isn't much that CakePHP could be doing wrong, as
there isn't any User-Agent specific code related to sessions. Also
I'm able to do XHR requests in a test application with safari, so
I'm not able to reproduce the issue.
